Where do I take my GS to to have a 12000 service. Who will do the best job for the best price?

OR do I just take it to my local non franchised bike shop, where they can source some oil and filters & stop giving my money to the big boys?!?!?!?!?

Best price, need to ask them upfront. But, SSB and AJ's seem to get good reviews of all the aspects of their operations. Is Rainbow much different in time / miles from the three you've listed?

Got a BM warranty? Then getting it serviced at a BM dealer is going, IMHO, to cause less issues if you need to claim on it afterwards.

No, Rainbow too far from North Cumbria, and the warranty is out on an '05 plate.

I'd prefer it to be serviced by BM, but if its only oil and filters, I wonder why my local bike shop can't do it, and I can save my time riding over and waiting for it to be done.

I can recommend BMW Motorrad at Dalkeith; at the moment they're doing 25% off labour and 15% off parts, so almost a sensible price for once from a BMW dealer.

Roy at RGM is a top man too, and isn't that far. Plus you get to see some military stuff amongst all the VWs rusting away.
