Looking to buy a GSA TE shortly - nearly new or new.

Never been blown away by any particular dealer over the past 6 years of owning a BMW.

Any recommendations on dealer you would buy from?

And your reasons why - Quality of service? - Deal done? - Location?

TIA

im on my 5th GS from pidcocks in notts, always been great to deal with, handled my problematic early LC with no fuss or drama and sorted a replacement bike

In a word,Bahnstormer Alton ! I'v had more than one or two new BM's over the years and these guys give a customer service second to none.Nice location on rural Hampshire roads.Friendly, experienced and BMW enthusiastic, knowledgeable staff.Always ready to do a deal.Parts, service and workshop in particular are unequalled in the uk.Top Notch, full marks from me and i'm known for being fussy.

I'll put a word in for North Oxford Garage. Great people to deal with and had some good deals over the years. Always prepared to go the extra mile at short notice.

Although I've never bought a bike from them, Bahnstormer @ Alton have provided me with excellent customer service for spares on a few occasions, and if I were to go to a dealer for a new BMW.........you can guess the rest.....;)

Oh .........it's about time you got yourself to a GS event too so you can buy me all the beer that you probably owe me :D

Always cheaper up north...

Williams Manchester .... Great team... And smashed my local dealer on price last time.... :thumb2

+1 for Williams, always been good customer service for me. (Edit: Just dont ask them to set the sag though).

Southport Superbikes are not bad either.

Followed Jim from there.... Bowkers own it now.... Looking forward to new dealership opening in Preston....

Williams Manchester, had 4 Adventures since 2003 and never had a problem with the bikes or service.
The team is a fantastic you won't be let down.

A vote for Vines - always given me good service, good prices and pulled a pair of anakees out of the hat when I had a rear flat, on the day. Also significantly better than nearby dealers for part exchange pricing :thumby:

Vines

+1 for Vines
...and avoid Park Lane...dreadful lot

Dealt with 4 during my BMW years.

Rainbow... 3new bikes, 2 used

Astle...2 new bikes, 4 used

Barry Robson...1 new, 4 used

Eddies..(Hull) no longer in business.

BMW after sales is generally very good,it has to be because the initial product is sadly often lacking.

I'm not one of these folks that you see all to often in BMW dealerships,it's all to pally pally for me.
At the end of the day I've given them my hard earned and I expect a level of service. The salesman or the service manager are not my mates they're there to provide me with a service.

Under the surface every BMW dealer I've dealt with thinks their doing you a favour, but at the end of the day, lets be fair, BMW have been left behind in the quality and development stakes but they still want a premium price for their product, so they have to add 15% to the purchase price to deal with the cost of the many many warranty claims.

As for the dealers I feel they have an inherent arrogance that they do not expect to be challenged and are generally full of the proverbial.

I spoke to one of the senior engineers at the Birmingham show this year. Allit did for me was to confirm that I would be very unlikely to buy BMW again.

Some good points there

Pidcock sorted my Lemon of a bike (13 plate LC) that I got from Rainbow. Sales at Rainbow were great and I cant complain at all - but the Service area were complete liars (and I have their lies in writing which went to BMW whilst Pidcock sorted me a replacement bike). They took 3 attempts to level the handlebars for example, each time before it getting it so wrong it was like I was holing the bars at 30 degrees to the left whilst in a straight line!
Since then, the service from Pidcock has been exceptional, and haven't given me a reason to go elsewhere so far.

Of course, its all horses for courses, there will be plenty of people who will have had bad service here and great service at Rainbow or other dealers.

Motorrad Central gets my vote - outstanding customer service. They took the part that I needed off a bike on the showroom floor many years ago when I broke down in the area whilst touring Scotland.

If that's too far I've always found the team at North Oxford very helpful and extremely knowledgeable.
