Hi guys, returning to the GSA after a break of a couple of years. I'm looking to buy new and would like advice of dealers in any of the following places who are good to deal with and look after their customers…

1. Scotland.
2. North of England within 150 miles ish of Cairnryan.
3. Within 150 miles of Holyhead.

I don't want this to turn into a, "Slag off the dealer 'cos he charged me a few quid more for a service". However, I've bad experiences with a dealer who refused to step up when the bike went defective in warranty. I stupidly bought a second bike off him a couple of years later. Still got service I was not happy with.
Gonna let my feet do the walking and take my hard earned dosh to (hopefully), a dealer who considers customer service paramount.

Cheers guys. Johnnyb0_1

I know some folk have had problems with coopers in Sunderland but in my experience they're spot on. For sales steve brown was excellent offered great service and with a bit haggling found the deal to suit my budget. I've now got a 15 plate gs1200 te and couldn't be happier. Also had my last tc in for service there and also good service.
Give them a try 👍

Motorrad Central at Dalkieth seem to have a good rep. I havnt used them for a couple of years though.
Harry fairburn in Inverness (my local) have just opened a New Facility and are trying really hard !

Its a bit further than your intended radius, but i have heard great things about Rainbow Motorcycles in Rotherham.
I have NOT bought a bike from them, but have bought accessories and really enjoyed dealing with them.
Other guys on that forum (thats how i found out about them) had purchased new bikes and were really pleased.

Wherever you buy, enjoy your new ride!

Alan Jeffries in Yorkshire has a good reputation with some friends of mine, I bought my most recent from Douglas Park, East Kilbride near glasgow and have no complaints.
Theres a sailing to Troon which is only around 40minutes from the dealership.

+1 for Rainbow of Rotherham, pleasure to deal with and cheaper service rates as well ....Perfect

+1 for Motorrad Central Dalkeith.

I bought my TC TB '63 from them last year and they were very helpful. I asked them to keep an eye open for one coming in to them and they phoned me when it arrived and put my name on it until I got down to see it. I've been in to the new one in Inverness and the showroom is upstairs from the BMW cars - looks smart! They service them in a back corner of the Mercedes garage which doesn't impress me; I like a bike dealer that's set up for bikes not squeezed in behind cars. I've not used them yet though but I'll have an MOT coming up soon.

Allan Jefferies are fantastic - straight as the day is long and will help you if they can. I travel up from Rotherham to Shipley to deal with them this is the 3rd bike I have had from them now. I used to deal with Rainbow and they are OK but the service costs were high and the staff never made me feel like they were grateful for my business. Quite a few of my friends have moved from Rainbow to Jefferies over the last 4 years and we totted up how many bikes had been bought by people who moved to Jeffereis at the same time as us and it was well over 30 bikes - I think that tells you that people like to have a more engaging experience when buying a bike.

First deal I did with Jefferies I did over the phone on condition that my PX was as I described it and had the miles etc that I gave them.

Every time I go to Jefferies now I am treated with respect and like a valued customer - I also watch what they are like with everyone else and they treat them the same. Incidentally the service work is done by them on my bike too, it is at a keen price and the experience is good.....

I think Martin from this parish from Portstewart also bought from Jeffries and was positive about them for sure.

I'm 10 miles from Coopers but last 2 bikes were from Motorrad Central in Dalkeith. No BMW cars or Mini's just a proper bike shop. Excellent staff and service and as already stated free bacon sarnies and unlimited fresh coffee on Saturdays. Couple of friends have done the same.

I also live 30 miles from Coopers but bought my last two new bikes from Dalkeith (a round trip of 180 miles ) who I also use for servicing and it is for good reason

Bowkers in Preston

I am a awkward B******d and they put up with me and can't help you enough ,plus there after sales are the best I have ever had :beerjug:
