Worth bearing in mind that they might just write your bike off if recovering it back to the UK is more than it's worth.

Happened to a guy on a tour I was on last year on a Y-plate Blackbird that burnt out it's charging system in Switzerland. Long story, but he was repatriated without bike as he had to come back home for work reasons past the end-of-tour date.

It's entirely an economical decision by the underwriter, it's in the small print usually.
