Hi

I am finally getting the funds together for another GPS. In the past I have had both TomTom and a Zumo 550. I love TomToms software (have a car TomTom) and its never got me lost but I feel I will be needing the route planing (supposed ease off) that the Garmin offers. The Zumo I had was little used but did get me lost on a postcode search once or twice (not funny or clever) and have no experience of mapsource so it would be fair learning curve to master.

Anyway I am not going to be able to get the funds for a new 550 or 660 Zumo and second hand units come and go more often than I am on to see them. So the question is where would my money be best spent?

I do not need Europe mapping straight away but I would want it in the future so this has to be an option for future upgrades. Bluetooth may be good but I do have ultimate ear monitors/earplug so just plug is not a problem except for trailing cables I hate. MP3 play hmm.. I wont say no but I do have a IPhone so if the items are bluetooth and are paired I suppose that would work?

I think my options are the new Garmin 220 with Lane control etc or one of the other older Garmin Zumos like the 400 or 500 Prices all seem similar at a quick look. So wheres my money best spent bang for buck etc. I would prefer new and looking to make the purchase the end of the month or early Nov.

Thanks for any constructive advice. Oh if its not obvious it is mainly for the bike

Adie
