I want to buy a pair of goggles to wear with my Tour-X for two reasons:

1. I'm fitting a dark visor so a clear pair would be good to carry in case I get caught out after dark;
2. You never know I might want to go off road;
3. I'd like to ride with the visor up if it ever gets warm or I go abroad.

Obviously then it would be good if I could find a pair that has interchangeable lenses. I have absolutely no knowledge of MotoX / Enduro goggles :confused:

What do you all wear / recommend? :nenau

Oakley O frames work for me. Dead comfy, tear offs available, load of lenses, really grippy elastic and all for £23 from e-bay.

Get them HERE

I've gone the other way round.I used to be a black visor slave,but since getting my tour-x, I now wear sunglasses with a clear visor.When it's hot I can leave the visor open,get cooler air onto my face and have my eyes sheilded from the old rays.Doesn't look quite so cool I admit,but works for me. :thumb

I'll bring along some mx goggles on tuesday night you can try.Oakley or Scott I think,can't remember. :thumb

Have you used them before? Horrible to wear on the road - peripheral vision is awful.

Wrap arounds/cycling glasses with interchangable lenses are far better on road. YVMV of course.

Ah yes but they lack that LWR Dakar veteran chic :cool: :rolleyes:

But then I'll have to bring my lid in the car and I'm scared of the flak I'll get for that :eek: :D

I have a set of the Oakley O frames with a slightly tinted lens.

As said above, the peripheral vision is not good for the backwards glance before a manouvre. I nearly tore a neck muscle trying to see :(

I have since abandoned them for road use and only use them offroad.

Even the tour X takes some getting used to after using a Caberg Justissimo.

I paid about £20 for a set with the standard lens and I bought a medium tinted lens from ebay for about £6.

Mutley,don't worry about bringing yer lid,take them home and try them out on the bike,then let me have them back at the next meeting.It might make your mind up without shelling out on goggles you don't get on with. :thumb
