Which heated jacket liner?

I went for the Keis mainly as I hate having too much clothing around my neck. And if it's raining, unless it's tucked out of the way or covered, will IMO act like a sponge. Pity as on some days, having the heat in the arms would be nice.

everyone's different, but I'm riding a 12GSA and I wear a Rukka Strong Jacket, it's all a bit snugg with the Giali on, but the collar remains under the Rukka collar - I can't roll it down as that's just not comfortable for me - I've ridden in all sorts of sh!t, including the massive down pours last April on the way back from Assen and I've not had a problem like that, or at least not that I've noticed.

It might be an issue with a lower screen...

JP, sorry for the delay in getting back to you; yes, as you've found out, you are right the liner can be worn seperately - hopefully the silver insultation stays with the liner and not the fleece.

I've been told that the new jacket comes with pop-apart connectors which is also an improvement and I've bust one of mine after a low speed tumble off the bike.

Good luck with the purchase, let us know how you get on

Sizing wise, I've got a 54 Rukka Strong jacket (44" Chest) and a Large Giali - don't know if that helps at all

Putting the record straight

I would have said get a Gerbing because it has a heated collar and it heats your arms too :thumb

But that was before it stopped working right in the middle of the cold snap over Christmas :blast:mad:

The good news is that Gerbing gear has a full life-time guarantee :D:thumb2

Yes, my Gerbing heated jacket packed up as mentioned...............

BUT........... I posted it back to Gerbing on Friday afternoon, (16th. January), and yesterday, Wednesday 21st. January, I received a brand new, latest model of Gerbing's heated jacket.

I must admit, this latest version is vastly superior to the older one that I had previously.

Well done Gerbing for excellent service :thumb2

Klan arrived this morning.

As I suspected the fit is a bit 'neat' in the shoulders and arms. I love those Italian clothing guys...

Fleece is nice quality too, although to big to fit under my outer jacket, so wearing layers and the outer jacket insulation.

Ben out for a good few hours and find the heater works perfectly. Its definately 'porridge' (just right).

Wiring is a bit erm, basic and I'll be doing something a bit nicer with the switch, but on the whole.....nice! :beerjug:

I had a Gerbing and later bought a Warm & Safe jacket.

Liked them so much better that I started to sell them in my webstore:

Extra's that are nice:
* fleece line heated collar, very comfortable
* zippered hand pockets
* zippered pockets for extra connectors (gloves & pants)
* stowing pouch included

Cheers,
Michel
