Looking to add to my security measures, 1300GS TE so as above Hiplok DX 1000 or litelok X3. It appears that one that easily uses brake disk and wheel is the correct option. T.I.A.

I use the DX 1000 on the 1250RS

I use 2 Litelok x1 ,1 through the front the other goes through the rear wheel,its a bit of a faff but if the wheel is in the correct position it goes through.Spoked wheels by the way.Decent size and weight if you're on a trip.

Recently bought an Litelok X3. Seems very good and fits the rear wheel a treat. Also comes with a neoprene carry case, which helps keep the rest of your luggage clean on the move.

Does the X3 fit around the tyre.

I use the DX1000 around the front wheel/tyre and a pragmasis 13mm chain(upgrade from the Hiplock X chain)I'm intrested to know how the X3 fits the rear wheel.

No. I put the prongs either side of the control arm bolted to the top of the swing arm and then through the spokes (forged wheel).

I’ve both and prefer the Litelok, it’s just easier and nicer to use.

Main issue with the Hiplok is that the lock requires a certain technique or it just won’t engage. The ‘rubber’ coating on the u-bolt is too thick and whilst it might look impressive doesn’t help the slide.

I carry a DX1000 and an X1. I use both whenever I am well away from the bike, and just the x1,which is much quicker and easier to fit, when I am nipping into a shop and parking right outside.

Thanks fir this. I have a DX1000 and thought it was already faulty at a couple of months old but you're right, it's got to be fully engaged to lock.
