Which leads should i be using ?

Hi folks,
Just wonderd if anybody has an idea about which leads i should be using as i have a strange electronic pulsing sound coming through my headset when i switch on my satnav,but dont get this noise when the intercom is used on its own,or when playing music via my mp3 player.
The bike is an 06, 1200gsa,the intercom is an autocom active 7 smart about 3 yrs old removed from last bike,this i have wired in behind the second aux socket near the handlebars, and the comms unit is above the battery,the satvav is bmw navigator 111 B/T,this was already fitted to the bike when i bought it and appears to be plugged into the bikes wiring harness via a special plug, i asked the satnav whizzkid at the bmw dealers and he suggested all i needed to do to run the satnav through my intercom would be to run a wire from the audio socket on the bottom of the satnav cradle to my intercom and this would work,but have got this strange noise.
SO after my wild ramblings has anyone got a suggestion poss question for gs rich ?

You need a ground loop isolator. Just give autocom a bell and tell them what set-up you've got and they'll sort you out. They are about £25 and plug in between the autocom and the GPS.

Yeh the wrong connectinos are probably being used, you will need our parts 1282 and 1294 to get you correctly connected.
