I've got a BuMW Nav III. It's loaded with CN NT 2008. It's also got (listed settings>maps>detail map) an entry called BMW Motorrad. Anyone know what this is?

I've downloaded the Wanderlust mapset and loaded Wander East, also listed as above.

When all the maps are enabled, and I look at the unit's Map screen - which map am I looking at?

I assume that if I disable the CN NT maps in the unit but leave the Wanderlust enabled then I'm looking at the Wanderlust map on the unit screen. Is that right?

Same would go, I guess, if I added the Marok Topo maps or similar - is that correct?

Also - when I disable the CN NT maps and then do:

find>(place)>goto and simulate the route, the unit does follow a route (ie doesn't just draw a straight line. I thought the Wanderlust maps didn't support routing - so which map is it using for routing?

If you're within the region that the unit was sold for then the preinstalled basemap is routable. However, only major roads are included and these are represented in a vector efficient way, i.e. minor twists and turns aren't featured, just the bigger bends joined using straight lines.

Not sure what the actual, on the ground, navigation experience would be like though. Probably a bit frustrating around junctions where there could be a potential for ambiguity.
