Interesting video yofi...Thanks for posting ! It is interesting that honda has just a recall on the Africa Twin because there could be some metal shavings left over in the manufacturing process doing damage to the fuel pump...Another interesting test would be to test the hardness and quality of the materials used...I think BMW would come out on top as the japanese use alloys that resemble a rubber/butter mix...You slip once or use cheap chinese spanners and the head is round...
I guess you get what you pay for as the Royal Enfield Interceptor would have lived up to it's name 50 years ago... Today you can intercept snails with that thing...

I have to admit I found this a bit of an unusual vid by Ryan's standards. It seemed to be rather hurried and lacking the usual depth, but perhaps there's little more to be said from his point of view. Perhaps it's because it was simply a muse rather than anything else, as apart from it being the smallest possible sample size of a manufacturer, these results could vary widely according to the actual bike model being tested and how it was actually run in by the customer?

Agree - he pushed the fact very limited sample. Clearly HD came last. Which i find strange as the USA can make some very good quality engineering solutions - maybe it is cost cutting?

It would be interesting to see the results after a oil change. Some companies rely on the bits and pieces to help with the running in process. In fact if you change the oil too early the engine will not bed in. I’m also surprised that Honda and Yamaha and bmw are not joint no 1. Also I find it hard to believe aprilia and Ducati are so far down. JJH
