I've read that Steptoe sells muffs, but am unsure if he still has any in stock.

I'm wondering it anyone knows which of the tucano muffs fits the 1200? I've already searched the site and read some horror stories about having to cut off the BMW hand guards, I don't want to go to those lengths!

Someone else said that the tucano 319 was a good fit, anybody got these on and are they the best model?

Send Steptoe a wee PM Paddymick. It may take him a few days to reply, but this is only because he is pretty busy most of the time. Top man to deal with. :thumb

I have R323 secured by the bar end bolts. Seemed like a good idea to me and I would buy the same again, superbly made :nenau

I believe Steptoe prefers R319 which may not be secured (but not sure about that), he should explain that to you himself :mmmm

The muffs are a tight fit, but fit very well over the hanguards, as long as you do not have the Touratech additional deflectors

I have the fur lined ones which are deep enough to warm up to your elbows !

Be careful that muffs apply considerable leverage to the handguards, which can therefore rotate and foul the brake/clutch levers, so keep a careful eye on that.

Muffs are an essential winter addition IMHO, if you have heated grips, they work best with Summer gloves and your hands will be toasty :thumb

Get an extra set of handgaurds and cut them down for winter/muff use :thumb
