Help :( My birthday is comeing up and thought i'd give my kids an idea, and would like to know which sat nav /gps to buy. I have no idea at all :nenau :nenau . I would like it to fit on my bike, and straight into the car and vis- versa. As my girls are in ther twentys they will probably be hard up (as normal) so price is another area to look at, and where tentanet or shop.
thanks Bill :mmmm :thumb

Bill,

There are loads of threads on the various merits of the different models and a lot depends n whether you will be leaving the U.K. / tarmac etc.

It also depends on whether you can drop on lucky with one of the special offers that you will find on the net as well.

For my money you have to go a long way to beat the Garmin Quest. Loads of tossers have them and they are easy to mount on the bike as well as the car, plus you'll get loads of support from them and here.

Good luck

I know nothing about these gizmo's (and ended up with the same as my Chrimbo pressie as I couldnt decide!). I nearly purchased quest but gave back one of the cheapies as I wasn't convinced it was for me.

I wont be spending much and I want a bit of everything. I will probably get a gps integrated ipac so its got a word and outlook facility which I could have a use for and it is battery supported (which most of the bigger bespoke units aren't.)

As written above - do some thorough reading of the threads here and then apply to how you will use it and where and when etc

Steve
