Hi All

I want to give my X Country an oil change and after inspection they appear to be two nuts visible under the bike.

The smaller one has a black pipe thing leading to it but the larger one does not.

I think it's the larger but any advice would be great.

Also, is the oil filter on the right hand sie of the bike, the round thing with about five screws around it?

Cheers

Plug is the large nut underneath without the pipe.

Oil filter is on the right side of the engine. Round cover, perhaps 6 or 7 cm across with 3 bolts holding it on. On my Xch the bolts have a star bit hole but will also accept an 8mm socket.

24 bike's showing on your list .... how the feck have you managed all this time ;)

On the x challenge you have to remove the airbox, i assume the same has to be done on the x country, you will also need a special tool to pull the cap off the plug and a slim long reach plug spanner:thumb

Not many good ones though:augie

Hey JB ... there's an F800GS in there :pullface

Great bikes the G650Xcountry CM :thumb

As said, air box off, just nuts and bolts :thumb

Just be über sure not to get the new plugs cross threaded

Two spark plug coils sit on top of the plugs, colour coded, put them back where they came from ;)
