Anyone knows which tent is this one?
Seen at the Hamme meeting. Those of you who were there may remember.

Is it not the brand with the wolf paw? Can't remember the name, but somebody else will. They had a stand near the party tent up front. If I'm not mistaking that is...

Nope - I don't know the name but that nice sleek fine looking blue one just in the back ground of your photo is my Khyam Mckinley :D

Wolfskin?

You are right, your honour. I could not find any reference in the W'kin site either. I remember the chap exhibiting them saying something about the tent coming from Holland, actually.
I will try and contact the chap who organized the Hamme event, he may have more details

Yosi,
Check with Corsican Dave, he was using something very similar at Kelso.

It could be the "Octatarp" from Fjällräven - room for up to 8 people , height can be adjusted between 155 and 185 cm

knew it hat something to do with a wolf...

Since it's not in English, I'll translate it a bit for you:

The Samer as well as the Indians used these tents, the Samer called it Lavvu. Compared to the limited weight and pack size there's an incredible amount of space inside the tent. You can stand up inside. It's most suitable for families / groups or as a gathering tent. It offers the best possibilities for socializing. This tent is extremely suitbable for motorcyclists.

Where to get them

Hi Ian
Sorry it took a couple of days to reply but I dont come here to often. ( Havn't got a GS yet so dont fit in too well :) ).
They had a stand at a dutch bike show I went to a few months back. If I remember correctly they only do thier sales through the internet. Didnt get to see the tent in real life either so cant be much help there.
If you need any more translations I could give it a go for you.

Thanks Steve, i couldnt make head nor tail of the site. I could not even see the tent on the site . Any ideas where it is ?

Tents seem to come under the following headings;

Telte.. Talt.. Zelte.. and the benelux version is 'tenten'. Click on the language you feel most at home with and look for one of these word.
Bablefish translations help but to tell you the truth there isnt much info given on the tents.

Good luck

Steve

It looks very like a tent used by some Norwegians I stayed with. If it is that one the top 'pyramid' comes off and is only used in very bad weather. It has an inner tent but is often used without and the ground sheet is seperate. The Norwegians swear by them because they can cope very well with bad weather and shed snow.

Mind you, they also sleep outside when its -20...
