Which wire is live?

Connecting up a Chigee 5. Which side of the underseat din socket should tap into for switched live? Which wire? Or does it not matter.

Not 100% about your bike but, could it be a red/(green or white) stripe that's switched live. Do you have the choice red/green or brown? The brown will be the neg.

Sorry I should have marked this as closed and sorted, yes I have the red/green and I am going to tap into that. I've just fitted the rest of it up at lunch today. Thanks again.

My other option is the diagnostic plug, which I'm guessing you can open up and add a wire into but i've not looked hard...
