I hope not, by the time half the old eastern block as well as Greece, Portugal, Ireland and maybe Spain and Italy have held out the begging bowl it will be worth about as much as a politicians word.

Yes, I know that Ireland was forced into takinga hand out.

Then what? The D(i)r(h)am?

It will not have escaped the attention of Labour loyalists that Scottish independence would permanently damage Labour's chances of governing at Westminster.
The party has 41 seats in Scotland and would be by far the biggest electoral loser if the nation were no longer represented in the House of Commons.
So Labour is Scotland biggest enemy the real reason they want the Union as they will become no better than the Liberals in England :augie

Yahoo, independance for Scotland. My new mantra.:D

You are right though, without the Scottish faithfull the Labour power base would be decimated.

You were getting the princely sum of 1.08 Euros for the great British Pound yesterday which is fantastic for going to Europe on holiday with :blast

A quick vox pop in the pub last night revealed that a lot of staunchly LibDem wallahs had defected to SNP up here.

Interestingly out of those who voted SNP it was 50/50ish on whether full Independance was the right future for Scotchland

We certainly live in interesting times.

My Guzzi is in a van on its way to a remote Isle as I type, I guess in a few years time he would have had to re-register it onto Scottish plates.
Thats something else you'll have to pay for, your own version of the DVLA.

Better hope the Welsh don't go for independence then as the DVLA is in Swansea.
It won't be that sore on the dude as he paid near on a grand less than what you offered it up for on here and you said that was a bargain :comfort

Plus the money he'll save on tax not having to pay your imminent dole money :augie
