Who has what fixed under warranty, and when?

2007 GSA.

Engine cover.

Brake discs all round (or not as the case may be !!)

Drive shaft.

That's all........for now :)

Ever thought that your exhaust flapper is sticking, there is a recent thread on here somewhere, quoting that it was sticking and stopping the bike start.

The flap was replaced not too long ago for a new one under warranty anyway, no way it could have seized again in the past 1k miles.

New one though (intermittent)

Also appears the starter motor is sticking now (when starting it just goes clunk clunk clunk and doesn't even turn over) so could explain the dodgy starting. Everything else on the bike is fine and battery seems to be ok. Off to BMW tomorrow to be sorted.

nothing until warranty expired and then the main display developed a fault. So it didn't record mileage and kept telling me I had ESA when I didn't.

BMW replaced it for FREE :clap:clap

08 GS
Bought in May from dealer with 12k on clock. Had front discs replaced just before I got it.
FD bearings at 18k in October.
Rear shock has just puked out all of its oil this morning at 20k. Very bouncy ride to work.
Thankfully the warranty doesn't expire till May 12!

K75 with 99k - no issues, say no more.

Maybe I should build a K75GS like those nuuters in Oz!

2010 GSA. Aux light switch at 2500 miles. FPC At 6000 miles.
Still think it is a great bike despite some small issues.

04GS

The only original bits left now are the wheels, fuel tank, middle of engine and headlight. No kidding, the rest is all warranty. Easiest way to a new bike after 7 years! Best £300 per annum I've spent.

Oh yes, the seat is original. So much easier to list what's not been replaced.

Still love it.

I hope my fd drive is fixed under warranty , because I'm in Andalucia
And it's just started pissing oil today while out , it was put on the back of a truck and I'm going to either Jaen or Almeria with it tomorrow , can't fault BMW rescue service so far, an English speaking spaniard took me through it . The truck was there within an hour and a half and it's a bank holiday down here
Fingers crossed

Good luck! I have had good experience with BMW in Spain - not a warranty claim in my case, but they do seem to have a system of prioritizing travelers with problems

I was a little surprised how much info they could pull out of their computers about me and the bike - more than I think is available to a UK dealer. Anyway they checked the history of the bike, and fixed the problem (oil gushing from the forks) promptly and for a reasonable price

My Spanish is passable - that might have helped but anyway I was well pleased with their attitude and service. Dropped it off at closing time one afternoon - picked it up the following afternoon - did some extensive research of Madrid bars overnight while waiting

June 2011 GSA, 6500 miles. Fog lamp switch replaced (dealer says they've done a few of these...) and check-strap in one of the panniers repaired.

Oh - and now the exhaust flappy valve thing has seized. Booked in for new one to be fitted 7th Jan but in the meantime I've temporarily freed it off so it oes at leat still work. For now.
