It was a pleasant evening and I told myself - how about removing the mudguard on my beloved 800GS and wipe the fork a bit. So I removed 5 bolts out of 6 and guess what, the 6th was glued in to strongly and I teared off the head.
So now, bike bike is crippled :tears
As I dont have the tools to get the broken screw out, I am looking for good advice on who has the best skills for this kind of job.

Thanks

Thanks Jim,
well, that is absolutely right not to screw around when everyting works. I just wanted to get better feeling what my bike is made off and now I know it. It is butter.

I try the Cambridge motorcycles tomorrow and will ask or their best man :).

You've still got 5 bolts holding a mudguard on......, don't worry about it.

local engineering firm?

Sorry for asking. What sort of local engineering firm do you mean? Some sort of mechanical workshop, or local garage?

Cambrige motorcycles...

did it. After spending few hours trying to get it out myself, I took it to Camb. motorcycles. They welded extraction kit to the remainings and got the screw out.:friday
Job well done!
