Who Still Refurbished Throttle Bodies

Morning folks,
One of the throttle bodies on my 1150GS is knocking badly and I can't ignore it any more. Since the bike has done 120k I think I'll get them both done at the same time. I've seen some old posts mentioning Vern and Scriminger refurbish them. Do they still do that in 2016 or has someone else taken their mantle? I might even be tempted to use a refurb kit but more research is necessary before I break open my hammer cabinet.

The weakness in the pound hurts when paying in dollars for this TB kit. Besides the 'Throttle Killer' sold by Motorworks, any homegrown alternative?

The ticker killer doesn't address the problem . It affectively preloads the throttle shaft to stop it rattling. If the TB is worn - components need changing!

I just got my throttle bodies back from Dab Cata. Posted them to him in Romania and had them back in a week, inc.injector flow rates checked. They are on the bike and NO more ticking.

Worked ok for me !

The kit I believe is $60 per TB only. If you consider shipping and labour on top (even for Romania), it must add up to a large amount.
So what was the cost Rob?

I think it was $129 inc return postage. I paid to post TB to him. Royal mail, insured for £500.00 was £17.
I'll confirm costs later tonight when home (memory crap).

Only thing now, I can here my cam chain. I'll upgrade to the newer tensioner soon.
