Who's home and dry ?!!

Being a local, I was home by 13:00 hrs.

As I left Glen Clova, an heroic band were pushing 'Tuned' on his bike, trying to start it - I hope they got it going.

And a few more pics.

1. One day, BMW will fit a reverse gear to the GS as well as to the K1200LT !

2. We didn't just have GS' at 'The Gathering'.

3. 'Wayne' didn't really have to bring his fridge to guarantee cold beer !

4. The 'Gathering' in preparation for Saturday's runs.

5. 'Thunder & Mrs Cheeks' like to be noticed :D

Great weekend, BIG thanks to all those who helped organise and very well done on the £££ raised.:thumb2

Ride out was great despite the weather, hard to say if you were going through a ford or not, it was all the same.

Any good meds for trench foot?

PS forgot to pick up Chucks jacket from room 'clova' at the bunkhouse, sorry.

Clova

We got back dry but cold!!! Many thanks to all who organized the weekend! Will definately be there next year!!!
Tash and Johnny! What happend to you? We saw you go past the coffee shop but you never came in!! Perhaps it was because i had led Tash astray over the weekend!!! Ha Ha.

And my last three pics (I do have more but do you really want to see endless pictures of GS' ?).

1. Stumpy's run find the only bit of dry road in Scotland and take a break.

2. A wet lunch stop in Ballater.

3. You can't take 'Arcboutant' anywhere . . here he's advertising his favourite establishment :D . That's 'Packer' to his left, Mr & Mrs 'Hovis' in the background and Mrs 'Cool Carbon' in the foreground.

I look forward to seeing more pics soon.

Bob.

I had a really good time. Thanks to all who put up with my talking b*llox. BIG thanks to Ronno, G.C. et al who picked a fab venue.
A wet run home from Glamis onwards. I detoured through Cumbernauld to avoid the jam.... I must buy waterproof waterproofs :blast
Rev Chuck PM'd re jacket.

Home at 10.15pm after taking the scenic route to Stranraer via Fort Bill where the sun was shining, mind your p*****d down from Tynedrum - the Boat and still is. Good to have met some old friends and put faces to new ones.

Many thanks to Ronno, GC and all others involved in organising the weekend. Unfortunately I could only manage the Saturday evening as I was just on my way back from 10 days in Europe and cocked up on my dates.
I think I must have had a bad packet of crisps as my heed was well and trully ringing this morning and I don't think I should have ridden to be honest.

Great to put a few more faces to names. I enjoyed the whisky tasting which I didn't think I would :thumb

Weather was awful but not as bad as Germany and Belgium. Worst of the weather was the north side of the Cairn'o'Mount to home.

Nice one guy:thumb2

Couldnae organise a piss up in a brewery...:kissy2
Enjoyable day and a half that I was there. Apologies for the weather:augie
Spoken to Tony already.:thumb2

Hi all, i came up for the run (or drooking on the Sat) enjoyed it, thanks to all, especially Rono for making me welcome. Best wishes Stephen.

First of all, many thanks to Ronno, GC and any other organisers for an excellent, if moist, Saturday.:thumb2
Glad to see the raffle, auction, etc was such a success and raised a good deal of money.:clap

Apologies for not saying cheerio to everyone after the run but the home was calling and I
didn’t feel like getting all comfy at the hotel then having to set off again.

Home at 18.30, a bit knackered, and it was still dry in the Stonehaven area on the way.:nenau

The run was fun, the dry stretch livened things up, I managed my first ford (had to stop and think about it first though),
not sure about the mild:eek: , as Ronno calls it, off-roading.
Thanks to GC for his patience on that bit :thumb ,
he’s probably still wondering how somebody can actually go that slowly :o

One highlight of the run was Skynet demonstrating his sound system in the car park at Braemar :D :guitarist

Nice to put some more names to faces, hope it’s not too long before we can meet up for
another trundle round the countryside.

I see you've made the plunge with your first (hopefully of many) post :thumb2 You should call into the Newbie section and say hello.

Big thanks to all involved in making this an enjoyable if not wet weekend, the scenery would have been astounding in the dry, but even in the wet it had its moments.

Made it home later than we planned thanks to the battery on the bike picking Sunday morning to give up the ghost, but got here eventually. :thumb

Shit weather, great gathering!

... Safely back yesterday around 5pm. Missed most of the weather but caught the outpouring of bikes leaving Donnington (Why don't sports bike riders use their mirrors :nenau)

... Thank you Ronno, Christine, Gordon, Kathleen, Stumpy and all for getting so many together :beerjug: in such a beautiful place :clap loads of fun :drinkinpa

... Bollox to the weather. :thumb
