I've seen a few Zumo 550's for sale recently... why are people selling, is there a new one coming out?
I'm about to buy a new one for £345

I'll stick to the 2610 I bought cheap when they all bought the Zumo.
Why the bloody hell everything these days has to do a multiple of things I don't know. Have a phone that you can make calls on, an ipod that you can listen to music on, a camera that you can take photos with and a GPS that tells you how to get somewhere.
Still I suppose if you are the type of person that thinks a motorbike should have a dash board that tells you your tyre presures, outside temp and any number of other things a musical GPS is a must![]()

I have the 550 and it's a good piece of kit. The MP3 player is not great because of the limited number of tunes that I can seem to get on the SD card. I've never managed to get more than 50 or so tunes on it.
but I see nothing out there I'm ready to replace it with. My 2610 did me 3 years and I'm still on the 1st year of the Zumo Why the bloody hell everything these days has to do a multiple of things I don't know. I know how to put a waypoint in and go to it.
I know how to make a route on the laptop, transfer it to the unit and follow it.
Thats all I want it for.

The 3 people that i know who had Zumos have all got rid of them because of reliabilty issues, mainly to do with the cradle.
I was going to get one but heard a few complaints about faulty cradles, borne out with mates' problems and also don't want all the extra crap such as Bluetooth and music so am sticking with the 2610 until something worth upgrading too appears.
I'm buying mine for next years heroes ledgends... I was looking at the 60CSX but having spoken with an associate at Garmin I was told the Zumo is the best and just as rugged if not more so than the 60CSX.

Must be the rumour of another latest must have new model on the horizon
