Why can't I see photos in steptoes fork seal change thread all I get image shack thingy only want to see which way up they go

Take your time, I put one in upside down and it leaked til I redid it. It is double lipped but you will see the right way if you check the old ones, the rusty side will have been the top.

Not sure old ones are in right way that's why I'm asking as they both are leaking

I think there is a heavier lip and a lighter lip. the heavier one faces in to keep the oil in, and the lighter faces out as a wiper. Don't forget to loosen the vent screw when assembling.

Have a look on youtube there is a how to vid on an RT I don't know if they are the same but worth 5 mins maybe

Any light hydraulic oil it's only there as a lubricant, as long as it does not affect the rubber,don't use chip oil ha ha.
