Here you go, take your pick, none of these wil square off and you'll easily get 20,000,000 miles out of them
Alternatively you could go with a modern tyre that is soft enough to grip like shit to blanket, handles like a dream and has enough wet weather grip to let you ride the same wet or dry
I was talking to a Continental tyre rep the other day who said they're developing new tyres as close to the Tourance as possible but with duel compound ie harder in the middle.

It is easy but it would have to be so bloody hard in the middle that you would complain that it had no grip and was always spinning up when you accelerated in a straight lline.

If that's the case, then the sides of the tyre must be unnecessarily hard. Why not make them softer so I can enjoy even more grip in the twisters?
At least I won't then be wasting half the tyre.
Yes, the Dark Side as they call it in an attempt to imbue what is really a pretty stupid idea (unless you're fitting them to an outfit) with some kind of mystique.

That tyre looks a little under inflated to my eyes and if that is the case then the contact patch or footprint will be larger than correctly inflated !
of course i could be wrong
