Why wouldnt i buy 800gs

I know maybe we're off topic a bit, but the Black rat was 'adopted' by the MetPol bikers. In their black leathers, before 'health and safety high viz' days they would sneak out of the traffic somewhere, give you a ticket, and then disappear again

Now this really is a piccie of my first police 'bike Velocette 200cc 'Noddy' bike. Flat twin, water cooled, side valve engine with shaft final drive, with mi dawg Patch JWR 13C where are you know?

BUT ... to keep the thread on track ...

Quite simply the F800GS will do all that the 1200's will do, and more

Mine is three years old, done 51,500 miles and still looks like new

Hi Micky,

I notice you have the pivot pegs on. I've read that they interfere with the side stand on the F800GS. Have you had any issues with this and also what pegs are they as they come in mark 1 to 4 I think.

I miss it ike mad already but thats because my new bike hasn't yet arrived so I'm looking at an empty space where the GS used to be.

Assuming that's the remote adjuster for the rear shock, you're asking for it to be trqshed should you come off and it went down on that side. Why not move it to the inside of the bar?

Two reasons Dave ...

1) It's 'inside' of the footrest, so protected by that anyway...
2) The chainguard would hit it with suspension movement...
