Wich ballast vould work in XC?

As a "regular" ballast resets bikes speedo, would a can-bus type ballasts work better? Any proven setups?

Did you loose the total mileage as well?

Or did it just reset the sections of the speedo that would normally be reset when you change the battery?

It resets clock and trips.
