Not too long a trip, but very strange and perhaps a warning to be careful?
I rode out at 07:15 this morning to meet some other riders at the Percy Hobbs near Winchester prior to going down to the Goodwood breakfast Club. I took my brother with me and loaned him my winter gloves whilst I wore my summers with under gloves and grips on high. The thermometer read -4 when we left and despite the rest of me being o.k. my gloves let the cold through and within 15 miles my hands were freezing. Got halfway from Petersfiled to Winchester (just past Loomies) and felt a bit strange, like I was going to be sick? I stopped at the pub in Bramdean and almost as soon as I got off I passed out:eek: came to on the floor with my bro' looking down at me. Puzzled I got up and went straight down again. Managed to get my helmet off and loosen some clothes then passed out again:eek: Took me 20 minutes to feel normal. I think it was lack of breakfast and jacket/buff all too tight around the neck in an attempt to stay warm and frozen hands. I warmed up put on some ski gloves i'd packed and managed to ride back to Petersfield McD's and after a muffin and sweet tea felt fine. Strangest experience I've had on a bike for ages. Managed to make it to Goodwood though and met my mates there so all good. My brother was great though, he's never been on my bike before and didn't flinch once:) I guess the lesson is never to give up your warm gloves and let yourself breath:augie even when it's perishin'.

That does not sound like a nice experience

That does not sound fun... You make it home ok so that is the main thing ...Any medics out there hazard a guess as to what happened ?

Hmmm, don't want to be over dramatic but you ought to get checked over at the docs. Imagine the consequences if you'd passed out before you'd stopped.
Hopefully it's nothing and all will be ok :thumb2

actually went into Loomies for a bacon roll and tea
went round a freinds house afterwards and he fitted a new 35w ballest cos mine had packed up
me and a mate then went for a long ride through the country down to the coast
we were gonna have dinner but like you i felt really sick - like i was gonna throw up - a bit like car sickness
although i have some pukka kit the cold slowly made its way through and we went home the hole day went from 0 - +2 and we were giving it some so it felt even colder

went home hot bath - light food now feel much better - strange eh - glad you were ok in the end :thumb2
