I can't seem to get a fast, reliable wifi network going, was wondering if any gurus had a tip or two
My system is a LiveBox modem/router/wifi access point in one part of the house and a Netgear WNR1000 connected to it by ethernet.
The system is very slow, regardless of whether I connect my laptop to the Livebox or the Netgear.
Pings are all over the place, sometime they're fine (in the 2-5 ms range consistently). 10 min later the range from 10ms -3 secs with lots of dropped packets. I got these ping results with the laptop sitting 10 cm from the Livebox (15 db signal):
I've put both devices on different channels and there are no competing signals in the area.
Do I just presume the LiveBox has packed up?
