1) Wikipedia Germany deleted an article about BMW Integral-ABS on 12/11/2006.

The full story about deletion and the article in PDF (German) is available here:

http://hijag.wordpress.com/2006/12/14/hello-world/

(2) Another article documents the investigation that the German authorities started in case of the new BOSCH ABS8M System (Letter is printed there):

http://hijag.wordpress.com/2006/12/15/«-there-is-no-law-beyond-do-what-thou-wilt-»/

There is one more article left but it's only about the prosecutor's investigation in the Integral-ABS case. The prosecutor seized a handfull of BMW motorcycles with Integral-Brakes in Early August 2006.

:sleep :sleep :sleep :sleep

You're interested in an article about BMW brakes on Wiki and you're complaining about the censorship there.......

I'm not even going to bother reading it, I can guess what happened...and how you phrased what you (or some other equally obsessed person) might have said....it's happened here as well, and we deleted it as well.

Some people just don't learn do they

Nemezis, we've said it before, but they way you approach this thing has probably done more to help BMW hide the issue by pissing people off than their own admittedly clumsy attempts to hide things themselves :nono

Can anyone give me the gist of the articles in Australian? English will do too......

Babelfish seems to be having trouble....

This is the original article in Geman language, give it to the fish:

Integral-ABS (German)

You may download the PDF-Version from the Blog.

The document is backed up with more than 60 sources.

Mr Dr ABS

if you can't be bothered to translate it into English - why would anyone here or the rest of the english speaking world take any notice ?

BTW:

The Federal Bureau of Motor Vehicles and Drivers in Germany started an investigation of the BOSCH ABS8M braking system.

These are the bikes that are equipped with the BOSCH-System: BMW R 1200 S, BMW F 800 S and ST, Kawasaki ER-6n, ER-6f and Versys, KTM 990 Adventure, Moto Guzzi Breva 850 and Breva 1100 aswell as Norge 1200 and Suzuki V-Strom 650.

The German motorcycle magazin MO informed about the problems of blocking wheels without warning of the warning lamp and without the possibility to reproduce the failures (no error logged aswell) in the usenet in late November. They also informed about crashes (roll overs) in driving schools. Instructors lost confidence in ABS.

Issue 01/2007 of MO magazine published on 12/13/2006 does contain an article about the problems with the BOSCH-System and they are asking the readers to help to find a solution together with the manufacturer.

No GS's and why the BM's in bold when they're only a quarter of the bikes mentioned?

Where's Tarka when we need him and his fire-spitting capabilities?

FFS Nemezis please move on in life. If the courts decide something, or the manufacturers change something then we'll all eventually hear about it.

In the meanwhile, I'm sure we'd all like to talk with you, but on a different topic. Any different topic.
