Had mine fitted today to my '08 GSA by Revs Racing. Really knowledgable guys who love what they do and can talk about it all day! Once the boring 7 hour wait was complete I rode home thinking wow, why did I leave this so long to do? It was dark and wet on the ride home so I'm looking forward to trying them out on some dry twisties.

Could not agree more - John has been doing my bikes for years now from my old CR500 MX bike to my latest 2011 GS - great bloke ( had 2 sets of Wilburs standard and the Wesa kit 100% perfect)- you will not be dissapointed.

The wait was tortuous but the results are fantastic
A couple of very decent chaps who certainly know their stuff; Johns stories of his differing roles in the trade over the years are very interesting.
Did you get to see the workshop? It was more like a lab it was so sodding spotless!

Yes, the workshop was great - it was like the Tardis inside.
I managed a quick 50 mile spin on dryish roads today and I am really pleased with the way the Wilburs WESA shocks are working. I had been losing a lot of confidence in the handling dept over the previous 6 months and wasn't sure what to put it down to. Turns out is was the old shocks because even with only 50 miles on a few bends the confidence is back.
There is a greater difference now between comfort and sport - to the extent you can easily tell the difference between these modes although frankly there's no wallowing in comfort mode anyway. They do everything I would want the shocks to do so I'm well pleased with the result.
I'm also finding that I'm happier using the preload settings as they should be i.e with solo riding I'm only using that setting. On the old shocks I would be one level above i.e for solo riding I would be solo plus luggage. I put that down to the shocks being set up for my specific weight. I give these a 10/10 rating so far and I'm looking forward to putting some serious miles on them.

What a shame its not practical to fit ESA shocks and system to a non ESA bike.
How much
£1,275 fitted plus the £4.95 all day breakfast, 4 coffee's (another £4) and a 75p slice of bread pudding at the local biker shop.
Was that front and rear? And do the WESA shocks connect to the original ESA connectors and can be adjusted with the usual handlebar controls?

Yep, that's all in. And yes, they use the original ESA fittings and it's fully adjustable with the current handlebar controls.
Oh, and it makes a hell of a difference
No connection to them, just thoroughly impressed customer.
Last thing, the all day breakfast at the bike shop is highly recommended too

John at revs just refurbed my 4 yr old non ESA wilbers for my RT.
Very quick service, I gave him my e=weights as I said I couln't get the rear dialled in as I would expect (I bought the shocks used but refurbed 2 years ago) and he diagnosed to soft rear spring, now they are perfect, such a difference.

Thanks Kim, its good to know there is an alternative to the OEM ESA shocks when they do go, and that they are compatible with the existing electrics and switchgear.
Nope, they give them to you to take home
Gets even cheaper then if you can punt the old one on fleabay
