will 1200 swing arm fit 1150

just wondered if any one has measured/fitted a 1200 swing arm to an 1150
just a thought

I'm pretty sure that the mounts are incompatible due to the paralever link being mounted above the swingarm on the newer models....

The 1200 gearbox is different......and will not mate to an 1150......

.....why anyone would embark on such folly, is totally beyond me.......

yes the gearbox is different but it is still shaft drive yes the paralever is on top but brackets and spacers can be made is it wider than an 1150.do not forget that a vfr 750 swing arm will fit a fireblade with the right bits so if the 1200 is physically the same size surely the differences can be engineered out it is just a thought

Naturally,anything can ultimately be made to fit onto anything else,but there comes a point where the effort/time/expense makes it not worthwhile.


Why don`t you go and measure one for yerself then and tell us ???
