will any other drive shafts fit my 1150 gs from other 1150 oil heads

The adventure drive shaft will also fit. The only difference between the adventure drive shaft and the other type is that the adventure shaft has a keyed spline between the two halves so it's easier to maintain the correct drive shaft phasing.

If you are not sure of what drive shaft phasing is, look it up or ask.

Manŷ of the drive shafts you see on EBay are often are not complete and are just the main long portion. The breakers being clueless usually leave the little stub end of the drive shaft in the final drive and sell it separately.

If you need a complete drive shaft then make sure you get a complete drive shaft so you can be sure of getting the correct spline mating. Many of the specialist BMW motorcycle breakers can supply a complete drive shaft.

Only the later model Adv had a keyed spine, the early ones had a full spline set same as the other models..... You can use a keyed short section with non keyed shaft but you can't use a non keyed short section with a keyed shaft .. I'll stop there before it gets confusing for those not familiar :D

I rode my 1150GSA bought in Kuwait 2003 to the Dead Sea in Jordan, Muscat in Oman, Dubai in UAE, Doha in Qatar , Manama in Bahrain and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia . Plus, all the places in between. The bike served me well in either hit or cold climates, only the sand storms were the downside. Tri-Star have dealerships in some GCC countries. Fuel is cheap and the highways long through the mountains. The bike performed effortlessly and finally freighted it back home in 2010 and now ride it here.
