Well.
i know Williams Manchester have had a hard time in the dreaded MCN....BUT! i have had nothing but FIRST CLASS SERVICE from this dealer.
please let me tell tell you why i think they are bloody superb.
phoned in this morning (a very busy Saturday morning) to see if a part i had ordered had arrived, they only had one person "on" on parts and she was unloading a lorry or something and they took my number and said they would phone me back. 15 minutes later the young lady rang me back to say my part was in...... good service!
went to the dealers sure enough the "one girl" was very busy. a chap had ordered a "left hand one" and a "right hand one" had arrived, the customer wasnt too happy and she offered him the Williams phone to see if the part was available from a competitors supplier, it wasnt! she ordered him the left hand part.... i was impressed by the total honesty of Williams, but i said nothing.
O.K. i was stood in line for my part for a while but i was in no rush, 2 maybe 3 members of the sales staff asked if i was O.K. or would i like a coffee or anything. Jeez i am waiting for a £15 extra fer me bike. the attention is appreciated.... more good service me thinks!
got my part and asks one of the sales guys (Dave) if a mechanic could have a look at my bike. Its Saturday morning, the mechanics are pulled out trying to get customers bikes sorted. i am worried by the clunking noise it makes when i change down all the horror stories on here have given me the biggest confidence problem i have had in a machine in a long long time.
Dave comes outside, has a listen, says everything is fine, it sounds quite normal.... BUT he is most insistant that i bring the bike back later in the afternoon so one of the mechanics can have a look at it just to reasure me.
his concern for my worries was noteable he really made me feel like it mattered.
i went back at 3.00 in the afternoon, coffee nd sandwiches and a good chat about this n that, while one of the mechanics took my bike out for a road test.
Now i would say this is damned good service by any measure, BUT..
i hadnt bought the bike off Williams
i hadnt had it serviced at Williams
i had told them i didnt buy it off em and i had it serviced at Southport, they took the time to make a real difference, and reasure me that all was as it should be
Guys give yourselfs a very large pat on the back. lets leave the assasinations for the gutter press, good service just isnt newsworthy i guess
thanks Williams
