..lesson on Friday was cancelled :thedummy major sulk and then the foul weather just got worse and worser all day yesterday:mad::thedummy:thedummy

Obviously, I know I chose a really pishy time of year to learn but I was still not happy at not getting out to play...

...so today...

rain had finally naffed off elsewhere :):) and the wind wasn't due to pick up till this afternoon so I thought I'd get some practice in..

..and managed to drop poor wee bikie ...

.
not once
.

.
.
but twice
.
.
.
once on each side - just for good measure. The second time was pulling away from a junction right in the middle of town:blast:blast:anger::anger::blush:blush
and then of course I couldn't pick the £$%ing thing up - some random bloke had to come and give me a hand - in front of all the traffic which i was of course now holding up:(:bash

Still, spent a couple of hours or so pottering round town - am getting to know the industrial estate pretty well and my u turns are improving:rolleyes:

Rescheduled lesson in the morning. Will have to 'fess up to my instructor about the freash looking scratches on bikie, doh

Don't worry about it Di, everyone does it, even the most experienced! It is truly embarrassing though, when it happens in a really public place!!:o
Is it Oban you're talking about, my Mum used to live there and it is a fecking busy wee town to ride in.
I've got some crash bars on each side of my bike, so if it falls, the bars take the force! Sure u could get some for yours. However, scratches add character!!!:augie:D
Looking forward to seeing u with bike next year.

Yiv got a long way to go to catch up wi Ronno:D

Wonder how many others were out today:cool:

Don't worry about it - all my bikes have been dropped at slow speed at one time or another and I have been riding since the mid 1960's. :blast

At least you have an excuse - its even more embarrasing when you haven't :augie

Good luck with the course.

(I was out on the K1200 today :thumb).
