Windscreen Question

Had Cee-Baileys screens on the a RT and 1150 GS and found the quality and fitting excellent .

I agree with Stoney on the Secdem , on my 1200GS , I had a Secdem screen fitted and it was awsome .
It worked well on the 2 long distance trips abroad I had last year.
Even had the screen on the lowest setting whilst cruising on the motorways
- well worth the money.

Will a 1200GSA screen fit a 1200GS?

Lots of comment about larger screens for the 1200 GS made me look carefully at the screen fitted to the Adventure model at both the NEC and the London show. I reckon it will provide a staight replacement without any modifications.

Has anybody already done this?

If so what were the results?

Any advice greatly appreciated as I don't really want to pay BMW OE prices and find there's no real advantage!

Thanks, in anticipation.

The screen from normans, which one is it ??? sorry to be dull but he offers a couple.
part number would be good if poss
thanks

I have the Norman wde-1200 gs the one 15 cm higher than standard.
I am 6 4" tall
Buffeting has gone completely but still have some air hitting the visor top half with the screen fully up.
Vibrations have improved a lot but still have some at a higher frequency.
Anyway I don't like the look of it when is fully up.

I also have the taller one in light tint. Happy to email you a picture if you'd like.

NN Secdem

I have a NN (Secdem) and it is huge improvement over the standard, but I am only 6" tall. Just remember to put it on it's lowest setting when it raining, in order to get the air flow to blow the water from your visor.

Cheers, Piggers

I have just fitted an MRA vario touring and I have to say it is a vast improvement over the original. It is slightly taller but doesn't have the sticky out bits like the original. I tested it on the lowest setting with the aerofiol on the lowest but one setting. At 100mph (on a closed road of course), ahem! there is a little bit of pressure on the top of my helmet, but less wind noise and NO buffetting! It actually looks a lot better in the flesh on the bike, than any picture I've seen. BTW I am 5'9" tall. All in all, I would not hesitate to recommend this screen. I have also tried a NN or Secdem screen but found the best position to be almost upright which meant a shortarse like me had to look through it. Hope this helps someone....
