Howdy,

Anyone advise how to restore windscreen on R1200GS to it's pristine state? Mine is scratched from sand, bugs, etc.

On plastic canopies in the RAF we used a product called 'micromesh'. It is OK on Tornados and Harriers so it should be good on a BMW.
It comes in a kit with special abrasive cloth that goes down to 12000 grade. The finish is so good that you can use it to make even paintwork shine.

Been trying stuff from McGuiars, not bad but not perfect.
Ferocious amount of dust sticks on, maybe due static.

scratches in plastic

Any caravan dealer will have a range of pastes available for a few quid that will do the job admirably and cheaply. Don't go anywhere else.
