Windshield MOULD

I keep my 1150GSA in a garage a lot of the time, and it does get damp. The windshield has mould spores all over it, which are difficult to get off.

I wondered if anyone has any good solutions they use for this issue?

Wont get rid of the mould that all over it but I'll try once I get a solution to get rid of the mould that's there, thank you

Ok. I used to have the same problem, and I realised that the mould spots were growing on top of dead insects on the screen.
I didn’t really had it growing anywhere else, but I guess your garage is damper than mine then

Try neat white vinegar. It works on most things for mould and mildew.

You need some airflow. Cold doesn't matter as much as the dampness. if you have air-flowing through the place, it'll pull some (not all) of the moisture out of the shed.

I have an air brick at the end but it’s quite a damp area anyway.

I think I just need to try and use some of the advice above and buff off the mould then give a quick clean and a spray disinfect when put away.

Might be a daft suggestion but are you sure it's mould? It could be insect droppings (check google images for spider poo) and you might just need a lightweight breathable cover in your garage?

How damp is your garage?

Mine is reasonably bad and I, as above, I mostly only get mould on the GS if I park it inside with a lot of dead bugs on the screen. But it cleans up well.
The HP2 lives under a breathable dust cover next to the drier wall (expanded clay bricks) and so far I've only had a tiny bit of mould over the seat when I uncovered the bike after winter, cleaned up well fairly quickly. I now tend to clean it a bit better when I recover it at the end of the warm season.

I have a DRZ that lives propped against a red brick wall (that seeps water if it rains a lot) on the opposite side and it's permanently covered in dirt. So far only a tiny bit of mould on the tail pack.

You need a large bean bag floor cushion filled with silica-gel

Get rid of the causes of damp.
condensation and lack of ventilation = a flow of air through yer garage = top and bottom airbricks at both ends if yer can.
Try and insulate any cold surfaces . Check for leaks or standing water.
Ask yer missis to pop in every now and again and wipe up any dew puddles etc.
