There should be 2 plastic washers, to sandwich the winglet.... just nip the nut so its tight , use nyloc nuts so they won't come undone... if you haven't got any plastic washers I'd source some ;)

Took me 20mins to install your old ones at the weekend:thumb
The top down sequence on this was: the 6mm panhead screw, the plastic washer, the winglet, the rubber washer, the fairing panel, the steel penny washer, the nyloc nut.

I'd recommend drilling a 3mm pilot hole first before opening up to 7mm, cleaner finish and dead centres. Always drill into masking tape though on painted surfaces.:beerjug: I have some pics but they are on my phone.

I fitted winglets at the weekend and used a tip I spotted from another UKGSer - I made the holes with a soldering iron from underneath and did not need to dismantle anything. Had be careful though of not toasting nearby spotlight wiring.

I had more trouble fitting a GSA screen to my standard GS, kept dropping bits until I got some assistance.

A few pics....
Cut the template out on paper and mark through, mask the area where you will drill, re-mark and check winglet hole centres to marks before drilling, drill 3mm pilot holes, re-check centres, drill 7mm, remove tape, clean panel and bottom of winglet to remove dust and install. Obviously the same template can be used on the other side by turning it upside down:D This is for the nippy ones I think, others may be different:thumb
