has anybody got one that they would like to sell,
i looked at swags when i was in Oz , ok in a car but 16kg is too heavy to drag it around on a bike .
my heaviest tent weighs 4 kg , inc pegs and hammer , my lightest under 2.5 kg .
a proper swag ,you get in from the top , so crawling things have to climb to get in .
Its horses for courseswhen did i put 63kg on the back of my bike ?
there is no Mrs to go there. i might have 50 kg if i was away for a month . but that would be solo.
weight is part of it , space available is the other part.
tell you what , i'll weigh what i'm going away with tomorrow.
lets see how close either of us is.

Freddie Dobbs on YouTube uses one and he seems very pleased with it. The setup and teardown is definitely easier than my experience of traditional kitI just wanted to try one, i enjoy riding into the evening then piss about trying to get digs,
I have used a bivvy at the side of the road in europe, and used service stations,it just looks a simple
bed for the night, while i get to my destination.
thanks for your replies,-a fool and his money are easily parted !
I've yet to find a good camping mattress,my mate swears by his, but dont get the impression it is quicker than the equivalent tent of the same size its not, and the mattress is crap.
I use a Big Agnes Insulated Q-Core Deluxe inflatable mat and it's bloody lovely. Big enough, warm enough and very very comfy. I sleep very soundly on it. Worth a try.I've yet to find a good camping mattress,
The only one I've had a good nights sleep on is a canvas camp bed,
Anything inflatable is generally crap lol

I have one of these and it is brilliant. Cant fault it for comfort but I can for the learning curve that you only 1/2 to 2/3 inflate it and the pack size.I've yet to find a good camping mattress,

I've got a fat auric, meant to be one of the better ones, apart from you can't get enough air into it, and if you do it goes down overnightAbsolutely 100% wrong!
You clearly haven’t tried an Exped MegaMat 10 LXW!
They are superbly comfy to sleep on and also fantastic at keeping you warm too.
Pack size is the only issue because they only roll up full width but do come in their own waterproof roll bag. If you can put it on top of your top box or across the rear seat then definitely get one.
