I am looking for some new warm, waterproof (well up to a point) winter gloves.

My existing Sportex Hurricanes have served me well but are now on their last legs.

I have tried on a couple of pairs that were recently recommended in Ride magazine (Bikers Koln was one) but the cuffs are just not long enough.

When it is dry in winter I wear leathers and some so called winter gloves are not long enough to cover the sleeve of the leathers to stop dafts. I need something like the gauntlets of old, something with a longish cuff.

I tried on a BMW pair that were not bad but I am still looking. Don't mind whether they are leather or a mix of leather/synthetic.

All recommendations gratefully accepted.

Um..............yes might have to give that a bit of consideration

I dont ever wear winter gloves since i bought handlebar muffs ,have you considered them maybe ?? :thumb2

Same as me. I bought some very nice winter gloves, Spada Enforcer, which were the ride best buy last year. Very good gloves and very warm if a little bulky.

However, the only time I've used them were for the days that Steptoe had my bike to replace the gearbox and had lent me his loaner K100. Boy did I miss my muffs and heated grips.

Definitely worth considering.

One of the issues I have with many winter gloves is the level of protection which they offer or don't....

For the money and the level of protection they offer, as well as being warm and in my experience totally waterproof, it's hard to beat the BMG Thermosport Gloves

Although British Motorcycle Gear are based in San Diego, they provide excellent customer service and are the sole outlet for the designs which were previously sold under the Belstaff banner.

Winter Gloves

Bought some DDainese Gloves at the bike show - best buy in Ride - which although expensive are warm and still give feel at the controls. Protection levels are also high and the heated grips provide indoor warmth. Never got on with the Muffs.

Hein Gericke Pathans: toasty warm, completely waterproof and a reasonable price. :thumb2

Muffs? ptooie!

-10 for Pathans. They offer about as much impact protection as a wet paper bag.

Thanks one and all - I've got a bit more research/trying on of gloves to do yet.
