I was seemingly too late to get a space on this get together, but no worries as I now have alternative plans which will definitely involve ice on Saturday night and snow on Sunday morning

There is a reserve list ( a short one) for thems what didnae get in fast enough.

Would have loved to come along but was a bit late myself in replying and understand wild camping wouldn't be much fun with dozens of bikes and tents, as it would defeat the purpose

Maybe there could be a winter camping night next time at a campsite? There is one in the Borders near Ettrick by a river which is open all year....
