Is it possible to have 2 wireless NAS on one simple home network with a simple Netgear DG834G router. I assume it is ?
I have a Buffalo Linkstation 2TB NAS which backs up my iMac using Time Machine and I found it a bastard to set up (i've since read that they ARE a bastard to set up ) but it does a job.
I have also just bought Samsung Smart TV which instantly 'saw' the Linkstation on the network, connects with it but cant access any of the files, I assume due the the way that Time Machine stores the data.
The new TV got me thinking it would be nice to store all my photos on another NAS as a second backup but just populate every month or so by drop & drag rather than using back up software. I'd then have 2 backups plus access to all my photos & movies via the TV.
I currently use Apple Aperture to store/file my photos on the Mac itself which the buffalo then backs up + I could then also export my photos from Aperture onto the other NAS every month.
Doable?
Any NAS recommendations?
