A couple of questions regarding 1150GS wiring:
What is this socket for? It doesnt seem to be live, even trying various combinations of lighting on/off etc. Located on RHS, below pillion seat rail.
Also, where is the anti-theft alarm socket located/ (If there is one). I'd used that socket on my K1200rs to connect the GPS to, and had planned to use the same socket on the 1150.

The connector is not used on European models. It is only used on US model. However, it is live, the green/white wire is powered from the fuel pump relay and is connected to the fuel pump, fuel injectors and lambda probe. If you measure the voltage when the bike engine is running you will find +12v on it. Make sure it is protected. When the wire chafes through to the frame like some do, then your bike engine will cease to run and you will spend ages looking for the fault.

As for the Alarm. Have a look under the fuel tank at the headstock for a bright blue two way connector.
