I have just repainted the plastic under the seat and put it all back together. Everything seams to work ok except I have a cable with no obvious use, has anybody got any ideas. It is under tha pillion seat folded back on itself on the right hand side. I would attach a picture but I don't know how. The unit has a single green and a single white cable entering it, what looks like code 1 on the case and looks like somewhing plugs into it.

Grez,

Just poke it back under the seat and pretend it you didn't see it in the first place...Nothing to worry about it's supposed to be there.

Your in the AA aren't you :D

Thanks for the replies, I guess it must be a German joke. They are all laughing at the factory at all the riders scratching their heads and pulling their bike to bits to see what the spare connector is for. I will just tuck it out of sight and forget about it.

I bet you found the wiring for the soleniod switch for the USA EPA requirement of a charcoal canister.

Just tuck it away and ignore it.
