I can tell you've been off.Did you buy an electrical fire extinguisher as well?![]()
Eem….are those not heat-shrink?Struggled a bit doing this but persevering with it.
One more side to do.View attachment 394425View attachment 394426
Maybe. I have the other side to heat-shrink so I'll try that.Would a hot air gun not be more suitable then a blow torch?
That's very nice of you thanks.Doc, would it help if I popped over at some point to help with this? Wish I'd offered earlier, before you bought all that equipment, but those pink crimp connectors just did it. I would remove all that, re-solder and replace with black shrink wrap on each wire, then shrink wrap the whole thing. I will already have the stuff needed.
Use fag lighter (I know you have a large stash of them) to shrink the pink tubing around the wire.Wiring stuff arrived and had a practice so good to go.

Chimp!the wire was getting shorter.as I kept cutting the whole wire instead of the casing.
Yes it is and yes I do.Use fag lighter (I know you have a large stash of them) to shrink the pink tubing around the wire.
I recon that 2mm wire is a fair bit thicker than that what you have on yer trundlecycle.
Will do and thanks again. I'll finish it in the morning and see how it looks.Just let me know, I'm not that far away in Wakey.
Just get a decent local auto electrician to sort….
If you bring it up to me I'll fix it, properly, for no charge (with my good arm)! That's very nice of you thanks.
I'll see how it looks when I've finished it and see how neat it looks.
And yes I spent £80 quid on gear. Problem i also had i couldn't use the wire strippers on most of it and stripping the wire with wire cutters was difficult and the wire was getting shorter.as I kept cutting the whole wire instead of the casing.
Yes i know and knew that was coming.M
Cough, cough…..
Bit of a trek. Bring your stuff to Moffat and I'll buy you a wine when you've done.If you bring it up to me I'll fix it, properly, for no charge (with my good arm)!
Don't bring any tools as I've got them all here.
No alcohol for the past 13 weeks as I'm still on constant painkillers!Yes i know and knew that was coming.
