Ah,what a beautiful day for it!! They'd given up on the idea of registering by the time we got there about an hour before the start!! It took us over an hour to get out of New Brighton, and over 2 hours to get to Clatterbridge. My hand is aching with holding the clutch in so much!! It was lovely seeing everyone clapping and waving. Had to have words with a very silly Goldwing rider. He was leaning off his bike slapping everyone's hands,,and in doing so, slowing down and weaving all over the place. I tried to get past hiim but he caught up again. A marshall pulled alongside and told him to stop , the marshall rode off and he blimmin' carried on!! Don't know what he was listening to in his headphones but it wasn't any sense. I think he grasped what I said to him.
I'll be keeping me bunny wabbit ears and nose on till Easter's over - it's great riding onto Police Headquarters with 'em on, most amusing!!
Pipster (phil) along with Hayley on her transalp landed on our doortsep at 8am before we set off to meet up at Kevin Cs pad in Heswall. KTM525 (Terry) and Alison met us there along with Kevs mate Martin with his daughter Sara on their Thunderace .
Kev with his lad Tom on pillion led us down to the start where we waited for 2 hrs in the sun before the long slow Crawl out towards Birkenhead. The convoy finally got moving around the time we went under the bridge where Jamie was taking photos.
Saw Henry ( need sunglassses to look at that bike !!!) and Kirst and I think we saw Kenny pulled over not far from the hospital.
Lou and my 1150 with Hayley and Transalp and Phil and his 12GS.
