Sunday 5th of December sees the Wirral Toy Run take place....Departs at 11am.

It`s the same meeting point, route and destination as the Egg Run but with no Police escort.

Again, like the Egg Run,I`ve been asked to lead it.
So instead of 'Easter Bunnies' there will be a combo crewed by 'Santa Bunnies' :D

Or is that 'Satan' Bunnies ?? :augie

Anyone coming along to ride for for this good cause ??
Bring a toy for the poorly kids. :thumb2

Got the bike back in to me back yard!
Jumped in the car,got to Claire House but the lady there said it was cancelled, sensible descision,so I left my toys with her.
Let me know if it is re-run I wil still come.

Not Cancelled...

...as far as I could tell. I have pictures to prove it: When I learn how to extract stills from the useless video I shot :blast. I will learn how to use this camera one day. :augie

I'd heard similar. So I checked it out, with Google, and found a couple of references to a "cancellation". Those references were from club & dealer websites who would have had to travel from areas where the weather may have caused a bit of a problem. It's not ideal here but was managable this morning; it was a lot more icy by the time I arrived at my current lodgings, after taking the longer ride.

Guess Who?

Bollix.

I got the bike out but it was just too bad.
Finally got it home and took a quick look at the route for the finish,as I understood the post to say same as the egg run, that said Clatterbridge.
Well I went there and asked if they were expecting bikes they said no it was the tree lights thing today, they ent me to Claire House,I went there and asked they said yes they were but it was cancelled!
So I left what I had there!:blast:D but you all were at Arrowe park. The woman even knew where you were starting from!So WTF?

Just one more of my feck ups I guess!

:( :augie
Erm...my mistake....I posted 'same route and destination as the Egg Run' but on arrival at New Brighton and chatting with the Marshals I discovered the route was to Arrowe Park.

Good job that chance comment was made,as they would all have had a slightly longer run than planned. :D :D

Ice ??
You betcha....I could hardly walk or stand outside my house and it was the first time the Ural has wheelspun away from a standing start! :eek

Cheers for your efforts anyway mate. :beerjug:

Nice to finally meet Ditchwater and also see Ian Lynch and partner there. :thumb2

Ahh but if I had re read the website it does actually say Arrowe Park
where it mentions the toy run! Oh well.
So How many managed it?
There were some real idiot car drivers out.
As I say I started out on the bike and got to the round about at the ferry but decided to turn back, there was a van following me and without a word of a lie he must have been two foot behind me!Clueless.

There was an ambulance at the top of our street looks like someone had fallen and I just thought it would be pretty stupid if one had to come for me and left some other poor bugger waiting on the floor so I came back.

It's amazing the difference a short distance makes. I couldn't join the toy run as I had to be in Liverpool shooting at the Santa Dash. I rode my GS in from Warrington and, aside from a bit of slippy slidey on the road outside my house (never been gladder of ASC) it was clear all the way.

Riding back home through freezing fog was rather interesting but so long as I steered clear of the white lines it was fine.

I love my GS!

Hi Tarka,

Nice to meet you again and have little chat.

The ice on the untreated roads just made the day out more interesting.
As did trying to wash the salt off at the end of the day with a frozen hose :blast
