Ive just watched the video on youtube gor the new Kieser Wizards, that are plug and play add ons that alter the function of the multi function lights.
Not a cheap kit, but i think the oem lights look better than the alternatives, so is a good option.

Saw that too.
I'll be getting on to Weisertech shortly to see if they do a kit for those that have already installed the running light module.

I think this is the link

I think they look good particularly the the tail light re ignite

Has anyone had issues in relation to the rear light/indicator or even the front orange DRL?
I suppose, technically, they all comply with current laws and regulations otherwise they would never have been fitted.

Issues no.
Visibility yes, followed and have been followed by others with these lights.
Cursory glance and it does appear that you may be indicating, ie the fronts
When being followed your indicating dissappears when braking and yes I know you should be indicating in advance of braking

I've had plenty of comments from other riders in front and behind me, and when I've been following other GS's there's no doubt the indicator "disappears" when the brake lights come on.

Although these lights are "legal" I'm sure they are less clear - and therefore, a bit less safe than the old standard ones.

I'll be buying some of these wizards - even if it annoys me to have to correct a backwards step taken by BMW. It was probably designed in Marketing, rather than Engineering...

I put the weiserlights on mine - most people I rode with told me how poor/confusing/dangerous my indicators were.

then I was pulling out of a junction in the car when a GS was coming towards me; looked saw an orange light and immediately thought that he was going to turn in. Thankfully I looked properly and realised it's the running lights. Not sure some other drivers would have noticed.

Had a few comments when out with friends about the rear lights, not had any about or near misses with the front lights
Liked the original Weisnerlights but was put off by having to tap into the electrics and changing the lights themselves
I am taking a good look at the modules and other than the price can't see a downside

I thought you was supposed to show 2 red lights at the rear whilst braking not one red one orange?

If people find the original ones poor/hard to see / dangerous etc, they need to hand in their license And get their eyes tested or stupidity removed.

Agree with comment about stupid people on the road that shouldn't be and more eye tests.
But taking those into account doesn't make the new lights less confusing..
Rear fog lights on cars left switched on obscure brake lights quite effectively. Similar scenario lights next to lights, only difference being the flashing aspect

I'm an IAM observer, so often go out with people who need to look in their mirrors at my front indicators to know which way to go.

Almost without exception, since I got a 1250GS with the orange running lights, people who go out with me for the first time have complained that they find it hard to know at a quick glance if I'm indicating or not.

I view this as solid evidence that these orange running lights ARE confusing to other road users.

BMW configurator for the GSA, increases visibilty and thus safety for the rider. Must be true coz BMW says so.

Adding Multifunctional Indicator Lights

Multifunctional Indicator Lights II

£ 0.00
The LEDs of the multifunctional indicator lamps II can emit yellow flashing light and red brake or rear light simultaneously. They increase visibility and thus safety for the rider and also allow eye-catching lighting effects.

What a load of marketing w**k.

The only comment I have had on my rear indicators is that they are hard to see so I will be ordering a set of the Wizards soon.

yes I know you should be indicating in advance of braking

Yes, you should. But it wouldn't make any difference if you did, unless you think having a bank of three bright red lights (rather than one set) confuses following drivers/riders so much that they continue to plough into you. Defeats logic.

Fully prepared to accept that the fronts may be causing an issue (or not), but if you pupils can't see the indication then it's simply that they haven't glanced long enough. Clever though, when I was being trained the instructor didn't have drls so I couldn't make any good excuses why I missed the turn.

You can be right and end up dead at the same time.....all because of some dodgy looking lights.
Your reply makes no sense to my post, just virtue signalling bollocks, And yet the research says your view is complete bollocks
