Wobbly bars.

Hi all. Looking for some advice on my 97 r1100 GS. The handle bars have a wobble and I need it sorted for the MOT. I replaced the bearing yesterday but it's not much better. What can I check next? Cheers.

Have you checked the main steerer bolt? Mine worked loose and I had to retighten it.

Yeah I had the whole assembly off and I refitted it with a new bearing. It still wobbles.

Mine had a very small amount of play at the telelever bolt (above the front mudguard) which was passed with an advisory for minor wear. It turned out that the telelever nut had worked loose and just needed re-torquing.

There may be two others in the top yoke above the stanchions - the expensive ones. Fitted to the R1150 at least; I'm assuming the same on the R1100.
