Put my tobinators on my 1150GSA today and set the screen quite high\upright. Wow, what a difference!

There is a significant difference in comfort and wind protection. Noise didn't change much so went and bought a System 5 helmet as well. All I can say is incredible.

To change from standard screen position to higher screen position and change from Fox dirt lid to a System 5 in one day, feels like a completely different bike!

Worth every penny!

Screen 1150ADV

I got a 1150 ADV last Wednesday..and no problems with the bike 100%.........bur the screen thing is something I need to look at.
So you rate fixing the torbinators to a standard screen and at the moment I am using the system 4 helmet.
Have looked at replacement screens say 2 to 4" higher and wider ,but some look so big they spoil the lines and looks of the bike........any views Stewart

Also just one last thing ...was it easy to fit the torbinators....thanks
:)

Yep I rate them and they are a very easy fit. Make sure you have a set of torx drivers and allen keys handy. It takes no more than 20mins. Also make sure you by the Adventure adapters. No drilling, just replacing screws and using existing holes and fixings.

I fitted my screen more upright and slightly forward. I also have the steel off road front light protector fitted and the new screen position actually falls more in line with the protector and looks better now than it did before in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, you can still feel wind, you can still hear noise but there is a huge difference between how it was and what it's like now. My head doesn't get pulled from side to side anymore either. The tobinators give you a large range of positions so fine tuning it to your liking might take a few rides but once done I'm convinced you'll agree that they are worth it.

I'll see if I can post some pics this weekend.

Surely the efficiency of the Tobinators depend on how tall you are? As someone who's almost 6ft 2, I'm a little concerned that when I get my GSA , fitting tobinators won't actually fix the buffeting problem.
How tall are you, out of interest?

Oilhead, yes, fair enough. They will work better for some than for others. I am 6 foot exactly. I guess it comes down to expectations.

When I first started asking about tobinators I got such a mixed bag of responses that I was determined to remain open minded and see for myself. I am glad to say that I am impressed and don't regret spending the almost £100.
